Chelsea are understood to be eager to make Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling their marquee signing for this summer’s transfer window, according to a report from The Sun.
The change in the Blues ownership with the new American owners led by Todd Boehly are expected to provide the boss Thomas Tuchel with a sizable kitty to fork out on fresh faces and overhaul the Chelsea ranks.
With Tuchel hoping to bring in much-needed reinforcements for his attacking lineup ahead of the next season’s start, England international Raheem Sterling is tipped to be a priority name on the German’s shopping list.
The Manchester City wide player, who is heading into the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad and is open to asking for a move away from the champions of England, wants an assurance that he would be given a key role in Tuchel’s plans next campaign.
Despite Sterling entering his final year of stay with City, the former Liverpool starlet will still demand a £60 million price tag in the market with Chelsea considered the frontrunners for his signature.
