Thomas Tuchel received a major injury boost as his Chelsea outfit welcomed back Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham from recent injury troubles with the duo pictured back in training ahead of Saturday’s meeting against West Brom as per reports from the Evening Standard.
Abraham had been on the receiving end of a prolonged ankle issue sustained by the England international last month in the win over Newcastle United and Tuchel had confirmed the striker aggravating his injury within just five minutes into his return at the club’s training facility earlier this month.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old Thiago Silva has not featured for the Blues since February owing to a thigh niggle which has kept him out so far from on-field action despite being named on the bench once during Chelsea’s Premier League tie against fellow Champions League hopefuls Everton.
Both players returning to the first-team fold is certainly a major respite on the injury front for Tuchel and Chelsea with the new boss now being in a position to call upon additional options across two important departments of the pitch.

Abraham’s return is of much importance to the Blues since Tuchel’s first-choice No.9 option Timo Werner enduring a dry spell in front of the goal and the veteran Frenchman Olivier Giroud unable to get a look in by the Chelsea gaffer.
