England starlet Jude Bellingham is set to agree upon a two-year-long contract extension at the Westfalenstadion which will come as a major blow to Chelsea’s hopes of landing the midfield talent this summer.
Chelsea have been eyeing up a move for the 18-year-old Dortmund sensation but the German giants have been equally alert in fending off interest shown in the youngster by a host of clubs in the Premier League.
Reports from The Sun claim that Dortmund are in line to table a contract extension in front of Bellingham with the England international expected to sign it and extend his stay with them until the summer of 2025.
With the Blues looking to offload the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Billy Gilmour, the latter of whom is set to join Premier League new boys Norwich City in a season-long loan deal, Tuchel has been scouting the market for midfield reinforcements.
Bellingham’s success at the club level had earned him a callup to the England fold for the UEFA European Champions League currently underway where Gareth Southgate’s men are through to the last eight.
