Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a major blow in pursuit of Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar who is subject to increasing interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
According to a report from The Sun, the Parisians have made a second and improved bid for the Inter central defender which could see them emerge as the frontrunners ahead of the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Both Premier League bigwigs have been keeping close tabs on Skriniar’s situation at San Siro with Inter open to parting ways with the Slovakia international this summer for a sizable asking price of a fee in the region of £50 million.
PSG are said to have improved upon their opening bid, a cheeky £43 million approach, for the Serie A defensive talent who has been one of the standout performers for the Italian heavyweights since his move to the club.
The latest developments would come as a blow to Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel who have been hard at work in hopes of adding to their depleted roster at the back which has lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen before the start of the new campaign.
