Chelsea are credited with an interest in signing the Manchester United rebel Cristiano Ronaldo who has fallen out of favour at the club with the new manager Eric ten Hag.
Ronaldo was not part of the Red Devils squad that made the travels to Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the 1-1 draw after the former’s refusal to come off the bench in last week’s win over Tottenham Hotspur.
With Ten Hag said to have given the snub to the Portuguese superstar and ordered him to train by himself at the Carrington facility, there are rumours that Ronaldo is on the hunt for a new destination come January when the transfer window reopens.
According to a report from The Sunday World, Graham Potter’s Chelsea are right in the mix for the 37-year-old attacker and are looking to table an approach to land his signature with Chelsea’s new owner Todd Boehly keen on the player.
The Blues appear to be pushing for a temporary deal that would see Ronaldo make the move to west London until the end of the season with an option to extend his deal by another year.
