Chelsea could reignite their interest in signing Barcelona centre-back Jules Kounde this summer with the defender considering leaving the Camp Nou fold.
The France international was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last year before he decided on joining Barcelona over Chelsea who turned to Kalidou Koulibaly as an alternative signing.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet SPORT, it is claimed that the Barca camp are willing to cash in on Kounde with a price tag of £80 million having been touted for the former Sevilla central defender.
Speculation has been rife that the player is not happy over being played in the right back role by his manager Xavi and with that situation unlikely to change anytime soon, Kounde could be looking to make the move elsewhere.
Chelsea are keen to reinforce the backline at the disposal of the incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino with the future of Kalidou Koulibaly hanging in the balance amid interest from Serie A in the ex-Napoli man.
