Chelsea could lose their first-team midfielder Mateo Kovacic this summer with interest in his services from Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Croatian international has a year left on his current terms and the uncertainty over his contract with Chelsea has cast doubt over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
According to a report from The Guardian, it is claimed that Kovacic could be heading towards the exit door at Chelsea this coming summer with the Blues required to trim down the size of their squad after a well-documented spending spree.
It is believed that Chelsea will ensure that players do not leave on free transfers in order to raise much-needed funds and Kovacic, along with fellow midfielder Mason Mount, are likely to be two of the several high-profile departures.
Bayern Munich, who have appointed Kovacic’s former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, are keeping close tabs on the ex-Real Madrid talent with Tuchel likely to be open to the idea of a reunion with the Croatian.
