Chelsea could gain on the transfer front from Hakim Ziyech’s World Cup showings where the playmaker is expected to play a big role for his nation Morocco.
Ziyech has fallen down the pecking order at the Bridge with his regular first-team football curtailed even after the change in management earlier this year as Graham Potter was brought in to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
He had been keen to call it quits with the Blues over the summer with the likes of AC Milan and his former club Ajax credited with an interest but Chelsea ended up retaining the player heading into the new campaign.
According to football.london, it is claimed that Ziyech’s valuation in the transfer market is likely to increase due to the upcoming World Cup in Qatar which could ensure a sizable windfall for the Chelsea boss Graham Potter ahead of the January window.
Potter is on the hunt for much-needed reinforcements to bolster his front line which has put out underwhelming displays so far in the campaign despite hefty spending on the likes of Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer.
