Chelsea contract rebel N’Golo Kante is understood to be keen to stay put in London in a boost on the transfer front to the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
The French midfielder’s future at the Bridge has been a talking point since the turn of the year with his terms due to expire at the end of the season and no headway made in the drawn-out contract talks.
According to a report by French news outlet Foot Mercato, North London duo Spurs and Arsenal are considered genuine options for Kante’s next destination with the World Cup winner close to leaving Chelsea come next summer.
It is believed that the former Leicester City maestro wants to extend his stay in the English capital city if he exits the Chelsea fold with Kante’s refusal to accept the club’s last renewal offer adding uncertainty to his contract situation.
A slew of injuries for the midfield man has meant that Chelsea are concerned about tabling a long-term deal for the player who has grown to the idea of calling it quits at Stamford Bridge.
