Chelsea continue to keep an eye on Brighton talent Moises Caicedo’s situation with the Blues hopeful of landing his signature in the summer.
Caicedo has two-and-a-half years left on his current deal at the Amex but has been heavily linked with a move away from the south Coast on the back of his impressive showings for the Seagulls in recent times.
A report from Sky Sports Transfer Centre has claimed that the Blues, alongside arch-rivals Liverpool, remain in the mix for signing Caicedo who had hinted earlier this week that he had no intention of leaving before the January window deadline.
The Blues have been urged to add to their midfield options midway through the season and the need for a new signing could become more pressing in light of the uncertainty over veteran Jorginho’s future which has attracted much speculation of late.
Moreover, it remains to be seen whether the Stamford Bridge giants can convince another key midfield player, N’Golo Kante, to pen a new long-term deal beyond the summer when his contract is up for renewal.
