Chelsea are considering signing Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on loan with less than 48 hours left in the summer transfer window.
Both clubs have been in talks for a number of weeks over Aubameyang’s move to Stamford Bridge this summer with Chelsea credited with a strong interest in moving in for the 33-year-old forward.
According to a report from The Athletic, it is claimed that Chelsea are hoping to strike a loan agreement for the former Arsenal talisman who was subject to a horrific robbery at his home in Catalonia which left him with a broken jaw.
The recent happening could have an impact on Chelsea’s negotiations with Barcelona despite Thomas Tuchel being said to be keen on moving in for the striker who can provide the much-needed firepower to the Chelsea front line.
Tuchel is also mulling over green lighting the departures of both Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech with the latter linked with a switch to local rivals Tottenham Hotspur while Pulisic is eyed up by Newcastle United.
