Chelsea are reportedly considering making a move for RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko during the upcoming January transfer window.
This move is seen as an effort by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino to strengthen the team’s attacking options. In addition to Sesko, the Blues are also said to have their eyes on Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
This interest in Toney comes after his impressive goal-scoring performance in the Premier League while playing for Brentford, where he has scored 68 goals and provided 21 assists in 124 games across all competitions.
Chelsea had already made signings this summer, including Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.
The English player, who is currently serving an eight-month suspension for violating Football Association betting regulations, scored 21 goals and provided five assists in 35 matches last season.
He will be allowed to start training again later this month, but his suspension won’t be lifted until January 16, 2024. In the upcoming January transfer window, he is expected to attract significant attention from other Premier League clubs due to his talents.

In contrast, Watkins is widely recognized as one of the top goal-scorers in the Premier League, having netted 46 goals in 122 appearances for Aston Villa.
He made a significant contribution of 22 goals in 40 games as his team secured a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League under the management of Unai Emery.
This English player has already made six appearances and contributed to five goals for Villa in the current season, including a hat-trick against Hibs in the Europa League.
According to reports from Givemesport, Chelsea are expressing significant interest in Sesko and are considering a move for the striker in the upcoming January transfer window.

Sesko recently made a switch from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig on a five-year contract until 2028, in a transfer deal worth potentially up to £55 million.
Securing the striker’s services could prove to be a challenging task for Chelsea, as the Slovenian international has only recently started his career at RB Leipzig.
To make this transfer happen, they may have to offer an attractive transfer fee to persuade Leipzig to agree to the deal.
Sesko has earned a reputation as one of the most promising young forwards in the world. During his time at Salzburg, the 20-year-old scored 29 goals and provided 11 assists in 79 matches across all competitions, contributing to the club’s success in winning the Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup.
