According to The Guardian, Chelsea has officially announced the signing of Villarreal striker Nicolas Jackson.
The Senegalese forward has committed to an eight-year contract, set to run until 2031, as part of the deal. The reported transfer fee stands at approximately €37 million, slightly surpassing his release clause.
Jackson has made a switch from Spain to England, joining Chelsea after an impressive second half of the previous season with Villarreal. His strong performances played a crucial role in securing Villarreal’s qualification for the upcoming Europa League tournament.
Despite a challenging start to the campaign, the 22-year-old striker ended the season on a high note, contributing nine goals and two assists in the final eight games.

Jackson’s arrival at Stamford Bridge marks the club’s second major signing this summer, following the arrival of Christopher Nkunku from German side RB Leipzig.
Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, Chelsea’s co-sporting directors, expressed their delight in welcoming the talented young striker to the team as the club continues its squad revamp.
After the signing of Jackson, it remains uncertain whether Chelsea will continue their pursuit of a top-tier striker this summer. The club has demonstrated their faith in the young forward as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Jackson’s arrival could potentially lead to loan moves for David Fofana or Armando Broja. Currently, Chelsea’s primary focus are on outgoing transfers, with six first-team players already departing the club.
However, once the dust settles, the Blues are reportedly planning to make a significant effort to secure the signature of Moises Caicedo.
