Chelsea have announced the signing of midfield starlet Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan with the 19-year-old penning a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
According to a report from Sky Sports, Chelsea will be forking out an initial £12.6 million plus £4.2 million in potential future add-ons to bring in the highly-rated Italy youth international Casadei.
Thomas Tuchel had been credited with a strong interest in moving in for the Inter Milan talent who has earned huge praise for his showings at the youth level for the San Siro giants the last term.
Casadei was a part of the Italy side that reached the semi-final stage at the U19 European Championship this summer and his arrival in west London will sure be a major boost to Tuchel’s options in the midfield department.
The centre of the park remains an area where Chelsea have not spent the big bucks in the summer transfer window despite speculation linking the long-serving Jorginho with a move back to Italy with Juventus and Napoli monitering his situation.
