Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is said to be keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Neymar is likely to leave the Parisian outfit over the summer and interest from some of the biggest clubs in world football have arrived in the Brazil international’s services despite PSG expected to slap an expensive valuation on him.
According to a report from the Spanish publication Fichajes, it is claimed that the Blues co-owner Boehly, who has been generous in his spending on new signings since taking over the ownership last year, is stepping up efforts to bring Neymar to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea will be desperate to bolster an underwhelming front line before the next season gets underway with the current attacking options failing to impress this season and a few of them certain to be deemed surplus to requirements.
While the on-loan forward Joao Felix will be on his way back to parent club Atletico Madrid, the likes of Hakim Ziyech and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are linked with moves elsewhere after falling down the pecking order in the Chelsea fold.
