Chelsea are understood to be close to completing a deal to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai with the negotiations at an advanced stage.
The 22-year-old playmaker has five goals to his name and has provided 13 assists in 32 games across competitions for the German top flight giants who have relied upon Szoboszlai for their brilliant displays this term.
According to a report from the Italian publication TuttoMercatoWeb, it is claimed that the Blues are nearing the completion of Szoboszlai’s transfer to Stamford Bridge which could go through in the next few days after talks between the two parties came down to the final stages.
Szoboszlai’s current terms with Leipzig are not due to expire until the summer of 2026 which could suggest that Chelsea will be in line to fork out big money on landing Szoboszlai who is considered one of the most talented midfielders in the Bundesliga.
Graham Potter’s side have bolstered their engine room in recent times with the arrival of Argentina World Cup star Enzo Fernandez in the January window for a British record transfer fee.
