Erling Haaland is open to signing for his suitors Chelsea this summer but the Borussia Dortmund talisman is also weighing up the possibility of extending his stay in Germany for another season.
Haaland has been pursued by a number of sides across Europe one of which happens to be Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea who have made it a priority to bolster their attacking options in the ongoing transfer window.
Reports from The Telegraph claim that Haaland is keen on joining the Stamford Bridge outfit and is willing to wait out for another year when his price tag would become much more attractive to the clubs circling around for his signature.
Dortmund’s exorbitant demands for now to part ways with their star striker come in the form of a £150 million fee being asked for by the Bundesliga side but Haaland’s contract includes a clause when activated next summer, would mean that the Norway international will be available for a fee in the region of £65 million.
Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is considering the possibility of agreeing upon a deal with Dortmund in advance for the next summer to fend off competition from other European heavyweights wanting to sign the 20-year-old forward.
