Chelsea can sign long-standing transfer target Ousmane Dembele for a knockdown €50 million release clause fee come the next summer.
Dembele was one of the names on Chelsea’s shopping list for the summer transfer window earlier in the year with the French winger’s uncertain contract situation at Barcelona making him a coveted figure in the market.
The 25-year-old, however, ended up renewing his terms with the Catalan heavyweights for the new season and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea, under the new head coach Graham Potter, will look to bring in the former Dortmund attacker.
According to a report from football.london, it is claimed that Chelsea could be handed a lifeline in their pursuit of Dembele who has a €50 million release clause in his contract which is valid for next summer.
The new Chelsea boss Potter is expected to add to his front line roster in the forthcoming transfer windows with Chelsea struggling to impress in the attacking third of the pitch despite new arrivals in the summer window.
