Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel showered praise on his star midfield man N’Golo Kante following the win away at Leicester City over the weekend.
Kante was at his brilliant best in the outing to his former hunting ground on Saturday with the World Cup-winning Frenchman netting a beauty of a goal to double the advantage for Tuchel’s men.
His boss was lavish in his praise for the maestro in the post-match remarks that followed a 3-0 victory for the Blues against a toothless Leicester outfit that failed to prove an ideal match for the table-toppers.
“It was a fantastic goal.”
“If you have N’Golo, you have N’Golo — and he’s outstanding.
“He seems to find another gear all the time on the pitch.
“It was an excellent performance from him individually, and we’re happy that he’s back, that he feels good and plays with a free mind.
“When he does this with confidence, he can be the difference.”
Chelsea emerged rather comfortable victors over a Leicester side that remains a far shot away from reaching the highs of the previous campaign where they finished the FA Cup holders after an enthralling contest against Thomas Tuchel and Co.
The Blues sit at the summit of the league standings with a three-point cushion over Manchester City who climbed above Liverpool into second after handing a 3-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday.
