Chelsea board are expected to continue backing the head coach Graham Potter despite the club’s abysmal form of late which has shown no signs of ebbing.
A shocking winning percentage of 36 per cent for Potter who took charge at Chelsea last year from Thomas Tuchel has made many wonder whether Boehly could be convinced to give the sack to the English manager.
The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat on home turf to basement side Southampton on Saturday, adding to the woes of the Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly who has spent big over the last two transfer windows to bolster the squad at Potter’s disposal.
The bigger immediate challenge for Potter is to stop the fans turning on him and that requires a big and quick upturn in results and performances

The Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law, however, has refuted such claims with Law suggesting that there has been no change in the position adopted by the Chelsea board who are willing to give more time to Potter to steer his side back to winning ways.
Chelsea have won just two games in their last 14 in all competitions and the latest defeat to Southampton leaves them sitting in 10th place in the league table with a real danger of missing out on Champions League qualification next season.
