As reported by Arsenal’s official website, Chelsea attacker Kai Havertz has completed a high-profile transfer to Arsenal, signing a long-term contract with the Gunners. Arsenal are set to pay a fee of £65 million, which includes additional payments based on certain conditions.
This marks Arsenal’s first signing of the current transfer window. The club swiftly pursued Havertz after he unexpectedly emerged on their radar last week.
They remained undeterred by Chelsea’s reported asking price of £70-75 million for the German star. Despite the disparity in valuations, the Gunners managed to reach a compromise with a deal worth approximately £65 million.
The young German is set to join on a long-term contract, with the club paying £60 million upfront and an additional £5 million in potential add-ons.
We keep moving forward.

The agreement seems to be benefiting both clubs. The speed with which they finalized the move deserves recognition, considering the initial rejection of Arsenal’s first offer.
Despite opinions that the fee may be higher than necessary, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is unlikely to be concerned.
The value lies in acquiring a 24-year-old player with valuable experience in the Premier League and Champions League. Such opportunities in the transfer market are rare and must be seized upon, which is precisely what Arsenal did in this case.

Manchester United are actively pursuing the signing of Mason Mount, although their second offer was rejected by Chelsea.
Talks between the clubs may persist as they seek a resolution. Chelsea have been quick to sell players this summer after already letting a number of players leave for Saudi Arabia.
The Blues can now focus on signing their preferred targets with Brighton’s Moises Caicedo the first on their wish-list.
