What is the update on Dorgu’s link to Chelsea?

While not directly mentioned, Dorgu indirectly suggests he wants a move to Stamford Bridge. His latest statement was that he confessed his admiration for the club and he told that he spent the most of his nights with this dream of playing in the Premier League.

The current problems affecting Chelsea do not shake Dorgu’s determination to prove his stance for the Blues highlighting his preference for his favourite team.

Clarifying the speculation surrounding his future at Lecce, the player confirmed that there was an inquiry from another party and that he had interested teams contacting him.

On the other hand, he affirmed that at the moment, he is bound to Lecce and he is committed to his responsibilities to the team. He however remained tight-lipped about his future move that doesn’t make him ditch the English Premier League as an option.

“There are always rumours and there have also been some inquiries to my agent, but right now I am under contract in Lecce, and then we will have to see what happens.”

Dorgu added: “I have been a Chelsea fan for many years, so of course it is clear that it is a dream. That’s not to say I can’t switch to other teams in the Premier League, but even if things aren’t going so well for them right now, it’s my team.”

Dorgu’s attachment to the Blues could be in favor of Chelsea in negotiations, as the accomplishment of his dreams as a kid may influence him to opt for the club.

Nevertheless, it is Tottenham and other teams which have been chasing the signature of Dorgu and his future could probably be still unknown as he makes his last-minute decision before the transfer deadline approaches.
