Chelsea are braced for the possibility of Jorginho leaving in the summer with the midfielder’s contract at Stamford Bridge due to expire at the end of the season.
The Italy international has been a pivotal figure for the Blues since he made the move to west London from Napoli in 2018 but is yet to agree upon extended terms with the club ahead of the expiry of his current deal.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Chelsea are convinced that the 31-year-old midfield maestro will be on the move soon with a return to Serie A on the cards for Jorginho.
The Blues vice-captain has been eyed up by the likes of Barcelona and Juventus with clubs across Europe interested in snapping up the Chelsea star on a free transfer in the summer window later this year.
Chelsea are expected to prioritise a new deal for another key player, N’Golo Kante, who is also out of contract in the coming months, however, more likely to agree to pen a new contract rather than leave as a free agent.
