Chelsea have successfully signed AS Monaco centre-back Axel Disasi in a transfer deal worth £38.6 million. The French star has signed a six-year contract with the English club.
Disasi joins other new signings such as Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Angelo Gabriel, Diego Moreira, and Lesley Ugochukwu at Stamford Bridge.
As a right-sided centre-back, Disasi adds valuable defensive depth to the Chelsea squad, which is crucial given Wesley Fofana’s absence due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
The French international expressed his delight in finalizing the move to London and eagerly anticipates achieving success and winning trophies with his new club.

He shared his excitement while talking with Chelsea’s official website; He said:
“I am so happy to be here, at this big club. I am really proud to be able to be a part of this great family, and I hope to achieve very big things here. To win titles. I will do everything I can to achieve those objectives – I am very ambitious”
“I can’t wait to feel the energy of the fans – this is a very good stadium, one where you have a beautiful proximity to the fans. The fervour of the fans in the Premier League, the atmosphere, the intensity of the games – it is something that excites me.”
At 25 years old, Disasi brings valuable experience to the Chelsea squad, becoming one of the older and more seasoned players.
