Chelsea and Manchester United remain keen on signing long-term target Jules Kounde

Chelsea and Manchester United remain keen on making a move for long-term target Jules Kounde who is in line to leave Sevilla sooner rather than later.

The France international was heavily linked with Chelsea in this summer’s transfer window but Thomas Tuchel was unable to land him over pricing concerns in the final stages with Sevilla firm on their stance.

Kounde, however, continues to be on the radar for Chelsea who are now joined by bitter Premier League rivals Manchester United with both heavyweight clubs looking to revive their interest in the build-up to January’s transfer window.

Reports from Spanish news outlet AS have claimed that Kounde remains a top target for Chelsea and Manchester United and a move to England’s top flight is on the cards for the 23-year-old Sevilla central defender.

Chelsea’s struggles in tieing down star defender Antonio Rudiger to extended terms beyond the next summer will force Tuchel to search for replacements with Kounde likely to be a top name on the shopping list for the Chelsea gaffer.
