Chelsea and Barcelona are set to go into talks for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with the striker emerging as a top target for the Blues in the summer transfer window.
Thomas Tuchel is keen to line up a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who was allowed to sign for Inter Milan on loan earlier in the window and the Belgian was soon followed by Timo Werner out the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
According to a report from The Independent, Barcelona are prepared to open talks with the Chelsea camp for Aubameyang whose sale could bring much-needed respite on the financial front for the Catalan giants.
Barcelona want a fee of around £20 million while Chelsea are hoping to reach an agreement upon a knockdown deal to bring in the former Arsenal man Aubameyang to bolster Chelsea’s attacking ranks for the new season.
Chelsea could be open to striking a loan arrangement for landing Aubameyang’s signature and covering his full pay package but Barca are understood to be more in favor of a permanent transfer.
