Chelsea have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Manchester City defender Nathan Ake, according to the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has claimed that the Blues are closing in on the capture of the Holland international centre-back Ake who is now in line for a return to west London where he turned out in the Chelsea shirt from 2011 until 2017.

Romano adds that the Premier League holders City are looking to pocket a sizable transfer fee of around £45 million to sanction Ake’s move back to Stamford Bridge where Thomas Tuchel has identified the Dutchman as a top name on his shopping list.
The exits of both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen has hit the Chelsea head coach Tuchel hard and the German is now tasked with overhauling his defensive lineup by dipping into the transfer market this summer and bringing in fresh faces.
Ake’s recruitment could be the second player Chelsea manage to sign from the City camp with England international wide player Raheem Sterling also closing in on joining the west Londoners.
