Chelsea returned back to winning ways by beating West Ham 3-0 in their own ground at Stamford Bridge courtesy to Thiago Silva and Tammy Abraham’s late brace in the game.
Chelsea no.9, Tammy Abraham scored a late opportunist brace on Monday after the Blues were leading early in the game from a header by Thiago Silva.
The win took Chelsea just a point below Everton- had 25 points by playing 14 games whereas West Ham remained in their 10th position with 21 points.
Chelsea were determined to turn the tide after their two successive defeats in the Premier League. Their 2-1 loss against Wolves was very disappointing as they conceded in the last minute of the game. Chelsea started pretty well with Thiago Silva finding the perfect ball from Mason Mount’s corner and heading into the net.
West Ham reacted as their main man, Declan Rice scored a goal but it was ruled offside by the referee. The visitors came near to scoring twice with Creswell missing a golden opportunity to equalize and Kurt Zouma cleared another dangerous ball.
Just when West Ham was seeming to equalize with their continued intensity and press, Tammy Abraham rose to the occasion and took a goal from Werner’s shot like an opportunist. He again scored from a loose ball and secured all the necessary three points for Chelsea.
