A goal from Arsenal centre-back Gabriel proved enough for the visitors to Stamford Bridge to walk away with three points from Sunday’s London derby.

Chelsea had Thiago Silva to thank for making a fantastic sliding block to deny Arsenal frontman Gabriel Jesus from going close to scoring.
Jesus then squandered the best chance of the opening period with the Brazilian heading wide from six yards out after Martinelli had put in a teasing delivery.
Despite the flurry of missed chances going forward, Arsenal did not have to wait for long to break the deadlock with Saka’s bending delivery finding Gabriel who poked it into the back of the net.
The Chelsea boss Graham Potter responded to his side going behind by introducing Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher off the bench with the hopes that the youngsters provided the impetus in the attacking third.
Saka could have added to Arsenal’s advantage after he got on the end of a header from Trevoh Chalobah but the former fired his strike too high.
Potter’s men were unable to fashion opportunities in front of the goal and the later stages of the game were no different with their last home outing before Christmas finishing in a defeat.
