A cash-strapped FC Barcelona side could be forced to offload Frenchman Antoine Griezmann this summer and Chelsea could be in line to sign the player for a cut-price deal.
Reports from The Daily Star claim that the debt-ridden Catalan outfit are looking to cut their costs in time for the next season with their priority being on tabling a bumper deal in front of megastar Lionel Messi.

The former Atletico Madrid attacker is also wanted by Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain who have enjoyed a thrifty summer so far as they look set to confirm the capture of Sergio Ramos, a player that had been eyed by Chelsea as well following his exit from Real Madrid.
The Blues are also backed to be in the mix for the 30-year-old Griezmann who netted 20 goals across the 2020-21 season for FC Barcelona before heading into the Euros with the World Cup-winning French side.
Chelsea remain on the lookout for a new striker this summer
Thomas Tuchel has been heavily linked with a number of top names across the continent with Dortmund’s Erling Haaland understood to be the priority target for the Chelsea boss.
Haaland’s price-tag, however, is the sole concern believed to be causing the roadblock in Chelsea reaching upon an agreement with Dortmund for the highly-rated Norway international.
