Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta played his 400th game for the Blues as per the Chelsea Official Website and by doing so, became the 13th player to reach the milestone. It came in the match where Pep Guardiola’s Man City thrashed Lampard’s Chelsea 3-1– an evening that Azpilicueta will surely like to forget despite such an amazing achievement.
Azpilicueta made his transfer from the Ligue 1 team, Marseille during the summer of 2012 to Stamford Bridge. He played his debut game in the month of September, quite many months from his signing and went to the field with the like of some legendary players.
At that game, he played with the likes of legendary defender of Chelsea, John Terry as well as the likes of Gary Cahill Lucas Pizaon, Fernando Torres and Victor Mosses.
All were present in his debut match in the third round of the League Cup against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea won 6-0 that night.
Since then, it has been a long journey for him. He has played quite many years with Frank Lampard, who is now the current manager of Chelsea. He is still one of the calmest players at the back and it is the reason Lampard still counts on him till now.
