Callum’s goal was the result of the tenacity, vision and passing ability of Chelsea’s English midfielder, Mason Mount. Mount won the ball from the Rennes player in Chelsea’s half and found the Run of Hudson Odoi with his wonderful vision.

Hudson-Odoi did a smooth receive and ran down a few meters with defenders chasing him. He then calmly finished the ball into the net. It was a breakaway superb goal that was one of the reasons why Chelsea won 2-1 in the extra time of the match courtesy to Olivier Giroud.
Hudson’s goal won him 28% of the votes from the supporters on Chelsea’s app via the official website. Jude Soonsup-Bell’s against Barnsley won 20% of the vote and came second following Pernille Harder against Everton Women (16 per cent) and Tammy Abraham and Lewis Bate – both of who earned 15% of the votes.
Hudson-Odoi was followed by Reece James’ goal against Brighton and Timo Werner’s goal against Southampton for the Goal of the Month awards this campaign.
