Chelsea’s interest in making a big-money move for Erling Haaland is giving birth to fears of Dortmund losing out on their talisman who they are desperate to keep beyond this summer.
Haaland’s heroics in the last season in which he found the back of the net 27 times in 28 league outings has made him a major target for Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge as the German seeks to fortify his attacking options.
Timo Werner’s dismal run of form since his move to west London last summer and escalation of talk that Tammy Abraham will head out of the exit door means that Haaland has become somewhat of a priority signing for Tuchel.
Reports from The Guardian, however, claim that Dortmund are insistent on parting ways with only one of their star attackers heading into the 2021-22 season and that player happens to be Jadon Sancho who is being eyed up by Manchester United.
A former target for Chelsea as well, Sancho has courted attention from Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side for a long while and could be on his way to Old Trafford with his agents having already reached a consensus with the United board.
