Chelsea’s plans to pursue a summer swoop for Thomas Tuchel’s priority target Erling Haaland might have been dealt a hammer blow with Borussia Dortmund seeking a €200 million payout to part ways with their talisman.
Reports from The Daily Mail claim that Haaland is valued in the region of €200 million by his side with such an astronomical figure likely to deter any of the interested parties in making a concrete approach for the 20-year-old striker.
The Blues are not the lone side from the Premier League to have registered interest in signing Haaland this summer with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool also believed to be in the running for the Norweigian.
Tuchel is looking to supplement his attacking options at Stamford Bridge despite leading Chelsea to Champions League glory with Timo Werner up top on the pitch who is just a summer into his stint in the Chelsea shirt.
As Werner continues to end his horrid run of form in front of the goal and with the summer transfer window now underway heading into the UEFA Euros, Tuchel has options on his shopping list of which he will be sure to rule Haaland out considering the recent developments.
