Callum Hudson-Odoi is a loan target for Borussia Dortmund ahead of Tuesday’s deadline day with the Bundesliga outfit keeping close tabs on the England international forward.
Reports from Sky Sports claim that Dortmund have opened talks with Chelsea over signing Hudson-Odoi in the final hours of this summer’s transfer window on a loan arrangement.
Romelu Lukaku’s arrival at the scene at Stamford Bridge means that first-team football will become limited for Hudson-Odoi this season and with the youngster seeking regular minutes on the pitch, he could be forced to look elsewhere for a switch.
Chelsea are highly unlikely to part ways with the 20-year-old talent on a permanent basis with the boss Thomas Tuchel an admirer of Hudson-Odoi’s potential in the years to come but the German will be lured into shipping out the player this summer on a year-long loan deal to ensure he gets his time on the pitch.
Tuchel has attacking options within his ranks following the signing of Romelu Lukaku with the likes of Timo Werner and Chrisitan Pulisic waiting in the wings to secure regular first-team football for the Blues.
