According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez will be fit and available for Sunday’s Premier League match against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
During the recent 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the 22-year-old midfielder was substituted by manager Mauricio Pochettino before the hour mark.
This change was prompted by a knock to his ankle, resulting from a tough challenge by Sergio Romero. Fernandez requested the substitution due to discomfort in his ankle, but he is expected to recover in time for the weekend clash with Man City before joining his national team for training.
The midfielder joined Chelsea from Benfica in the 2023 January transfer window and has established himself as one of their top performers.

Last season, he played as a defensive midfielder, but this season, with the arrival of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion, he has been operating in a central midfield role.
Despite having only scored one goal in 35 appearances for Chelsea, the player has impressed with his strong tackling, ability to win duels, and his skill in creating key passes.
His availability for Sunday’s match should provide a significant boost to the Blues, who are facing a tough challenge against Man City, even with the advantage of playing at home.
The West Londoners secured a 4-1 victory that put an end to Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the league season. However, Chelsea had it relatively easy as their rivals had two players sent off, one in each half.
