Blues Brace For Transfer Frenzy: Maresca At Helm, Gallagher Stays?

Chelsea have already appointed the new head coach and the first transfer has already happened in the club.

The process has been rather rapid and somewhat erratic up until now, with potential candidates such as Kieran McKenna or Thomas Frank being previously discussed before the team’s most recent choice of Enzo Maresca.

Finally, the proverbial window opens on Friday June 14 and the competition really starts.

There are already rumors regarding certain players which have been associated with Chelsea.

This list contains the names of such football talents as Michael Olise, Alvaro Valles, Youssouff Fofana, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Dominic Solanke, Artem Dovbyk, Ivan Toney. Nonetheless, the following list of players does not look probable: Benjamin Sesko, James Trafford, Julian Alvarez, and Victor Osimhen.

In their article, the Guardian notes that Chelsea are willing to keep Conor Gallagher at the club in the summer.

There have been reports that Aston Villa and Tottenham have expressed their intention of signing this player, but should they fail to, Chelsea has planned to extend his contract.

Despite the club have not changed their viewpoints on Gallagher much, the attitude could expand to a more aggressive attempt at ensuring him one more contract instead of trying to get him.

This is one thing that has unlike before, been making much noise around the club of Gallagher.

Although Chelsea has not closed the door on offers that may be proposed for him in the current transfer window, the club is also ready to conduct further negotiations.

Therefore, all possibilities remain open and can be realised in one way or another.

To this end, it is important note that Gallagher himself desires to remain at his boyhood club and will not be forcing his exit out of the club.

Conor Gallaghar

Many reports believes that Gallagher’s intentions to remain could put pressure on Chelsea to change its position.

The club tell players they will not be allowed to exit as a free agent, making it a ‘sell or sign’ proposition while ignoring their own bargaining power. Gallagher as he has been in the past will not hesitate to stake for him and make him an integral member of Maresca’s team.

Nevertheless, it is still up to Gallagher to either accept or reject Chelsea boss’s decisions and approaches.
