According to Televomero via Area Napoli, Liverpool have apparently reached an agreement with Chelsea target Victor Osimhen’s agents.
This development has led the striker to halt negotiations with Napoli regarding a new contract. Osimhen, who joined the Serie A outfit from Lille in 2021, has an impressive record of 56 goals in 91 Serie A appearances and is highly regarded as one of the most lethal forwards in the world.
The Italian outlet has mentioned that the Reds have already reached agreements with Osimhen’s agents which is a major blow for Chelsea. Currently, the striker’s future is uncertain with several clubs eyeing a move.
Liverpool’s agreement is said to be with the player himself, which means they would still need to engage in negotiations with Napoli.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, known for being a tough negotiator, is likely to demand a fee exceeding £100 million for Osimhen, who has scored six goals in eight appearances this season.
The African star’s contract is set to expire in June 2025, putting his parent club in the position of either attempting to change his mind or considering a sale while he still holds a significant market value.
If Liverpool proceeds with their move for the in-form striker, it could be a major setback for cash-rich Chelsea. Mauricio Pochettino is eager to sign a natural goal-scorer in the January transfer market, and losing out to a fierce rival would be a big reason to worry about.
Nicolas Jackson’s poor goal-scoring form is a sign of concern for the West Londoners this season.

Jurgen Klopp could view this signing as a way to get back at Chelsea after they secured two players he was pursuing earlier in the summer, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, for a combined fee of £173 million from Brighton and Southampton.
Now, if Klopp successfully attracts Osimhen to Liverpool, he may consider it a form of payback for those past missed opportunities and leave the Blues’ fans disappointed.
It remains to be seen how Todd Boehly responds to this situation.
