Juventus has informed Chelsea and Manchester United that Dusan Vlahovic is not available for transfer, dismissing rumors of a £70m bid from Chelsea.
Despite the Blues’ reported interest and their offer for the Serbian striker, Juventus is adamant that Vlahovic will not be sold. Vlahovic, who joined Juventus last year, has expressed a desire to leave Turin after struggling to perform at his best.
The 23-year-old has scored 23 goals in 63 games for Juventus and 13 goals in 21 appearances for the Serbian national team.
Aside from Chelsea, Manchester United has also shown interest in Vlahovic as both clubs look to bolster their striking options in the upcoming transfer window. However, Juventus remains firm in their stance that Vlahovic is not for sale.
As reported by the Metro, Juventus chief, Francesco Calvo said:
“Rumours are not something we can control, but the transfer market hasn’t even opened yet. Dusan is not for sale. We are satisfied with the effort he puts in, although everyone in life can do better.”
Chelsea is in search of a new center forward following Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge.
Romelu Lukaku, who was signed by the Blues for nearly £100m in 2021, is set to return from his loan spell at Inter Milan. However, both the player and the club are open to parting ways.
United, on the other hand, has relied on Wout Weghorst from Burnley during the latter half of the season after releasing Cristiano Ronaldo during the World Cup.
Both the clubs have been linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, while United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly interested in signing England captain Harry Kane this summer.
