A shock deal that came from Turkish outfit Besiktas to sign Chelsea’s forgotten man Tammy Abraham in a season-long loan offer has been rebuffed by the Stamford Bridge giants.
Reports from Sabah claim that Besiktas were keen on bringing in the England international in a loan agreement but the Blues have dismissed such an offer that has come their way.
It is believed that Chelsea are interested only in ensuring a permanent move away from the club for the 23-year-old Abraham who has now emerged on the fringes of the first-team squad and is himself understood to be seeking an exit.
Thomas Tuchel’s hiring earlier this year meant that despite being one of the favoured options in the frontline under the former boss Frank Lampard, Abraham has seen his game-time curtailed with Timo Werner leading the line for the Blues.
Moreover, with rumours of Tuchel planning to sign a big-name forward this summer, Dortmund’s Erling Haaland and Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku doing the rounds, it could bring down the curtains over Abraham’s future at the club.
