Michy Batshuayi is edging closer to an exit from the Chelsea camp this summer with the Belgian forward believed to be on the verge of completing his transfer to Besiktas.
Reports from Goal claim that Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin has admitted that the Turkish club are in talks with Chelsea to sign the 27-year-old Batshuayi who could sign for them by next week.
“The club is trying to sign a good center forward.”
“We are now negotiating with Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi.
“If everything goes well, we expect him to come here next week.”
Batshuayi had been heavily backed to head out the exit door at Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window after an uninspiring loan spell at Premier League side Crystal Palace last season.
With Chelsea having confirmed the much-awaited return of Romelu Lukaku to the club in a big-money move, the new recruit’s fellow Belgian Batshuayi falls further down the pecking order which will hasten his departure before the transfer window’s deadline.
Accompanying Batshuayi on his way out could be another striker in Tammy Abraham with the England international understood to be nearing a move to Serie A giants Roma who have overtaken Arsenal in the race to sign the player.
