According to renowned journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has decided to ignore calls from Chelsea amid huge attention from European clubs this summer. The German midfielder has been in the transfer limelight in the past few months due to his fallout with current Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel.
The manager is said to be unhappy with the player’s performance and would be open to letting him leave this summer. The 29-year-old is also exploring options as his current contract with the Bavarian giants ends next summer.
The club won’t demand an astronomical transfer fee and that could make things easier for other clubs. It has now been revealed that clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona are the most favoured options.

Still no concrete talks about a new contract beyond 2025.

Kimmich is not looking at Chelsea at the moment due to their instability in the Premier League and lack of Champions League football. The Blues won’t have any issues to increase his wages or agree to a fee. Other PL clubs are placed in a much better position to lure the German defensive midfielder to England.
Kimmich is a player who can directly fit into any team’s starting XI
Kimmich is a versatile player who can operate as a midfielder, defender or right-back. He has been utilized at multiple options in the past few years and has been instrumental in helping Bayern continue their domination in the Bundesliga.
With numerous accolades to his name, he brings a lot of experience with him which can benefit Chelsea. But in our opinion, the player would prefer to move to a more stable club and follow in the footsteps of his former teammate Thiago Alcantara. The race is still wide open and it remains to be seen which club takes the lead in this high-octane transfer race.
