Bayern Munich are said to be keeping tabs on out-of-favour Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy who is likely to head out the exit door at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Mendy has failed to reclaim the starting berth from Kepa since the latter was favoured to the No.1 role under Graham Potter’s charge with Frank Lampard choosing not to tinker around with the change to the team sheet.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Fichajes, it is claimed that Bayern, who have appointed former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel recently to the hot seat, are interested in moving in for Mendy.
The Bundesliga giants are seeking a replacement for the veteran Manuel Neuer who has been sidelined for the remainder of the season with an injury and Mendy fits the bill for a Tuchel-like signing for his new side.
Chelsea have been expected to trim down their squad size over the summer and sanction the exits of several first-team names with Mendy certain to be one of the players on his way to a new destination.
