Bayern Munich are said to be eyeing up a move for Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly who has been linked with an exit from west London this summer.
The Senegal defender joined the Blues only last year from Napoli where he had firmed his credentials as a world-class central defender but adapting to life at Stamford Bridge proved to be difficult for Koulibaly.
According to a claim from Sky Sport’s Gianluca Di Marzio ( via SempreInter), it is claimed that Bayern have emerged as a serious contender to sign Koulibaly in the summer window with Inter Milan set to face a challenge from the German champions.
Inter have been credited with an interest in the Chelsea defender with the Champions League runners up looking to bolster their backline before the next season gets underway and Koulibaly’s future at the Bridge subject to much speculation of late.
The former Napoli man’s unimpressive performances last season in the Premier League had sparked off uncertainty over a squad rebuild expected to be on the cards with the Chelsea top brass looking to bring in new faces.
