Bayern Munich boss Julian Naglesmann refused to be drawn into the speculation surrounding his interest in signing Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger next summer.
Rudiger has his future at Stamford Bridge subject to much speculation with the Germany international centre-back running down his deal which expires in less than ten months.
Wage demands of the former Roma man are understood to be the stalling point in the talks between the two parties with Rudiger keen on getting a major bump in his salary to pen the deal with Thomas Tuchel’s camp.
With Chelsea unable to tie down their first-team regular to a long-term contract beyond the next summer window, there has been the talk of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich weighing up a move for Rudiger on a free transfer.
Naglesmann, however, remained coy on such speculation, according to reports from Eurosport, when pressed upon the matter with the Bayern boss claiming he could not comment on another club’s player outside the transfer window period while adding praise for the in-form Chelsea defender.
“He has an incredibly good aggressiveness. He is a very good defender. I said it last week, that I like it if a player does justice to his job title. That’s absolutely true for Toni.”
“Everything else is rumours.”“To be honest I haven’t talked with Brazzo [Hasan Salihamidzic] about him yet. If you believe it or not. And if I had done that I wouldn’t tell you. I just have read about it.“I don´t even know how long his contract still lasts. I have to look that up. Then I will see how much money I still have in my wallet and then we will see what the future brings.”
