Chelsea will travel on Thursday at Oakwell to play against Barnsley for the 5th round of the FA Cup. The Blues have won three consecutive matches and are unbeaten for four matches under new manager Thomas Tuchel. In the previous match, the Blues defeated Sheffield United in the Premier League 2-1 courtesy to Mason Mount and Jorginho’s goal.
Chelsea faced Barnsley last under the reign of Frank Lampard in the round of EFL Cup when they thrashed Barnsley 6-0 owing to Kai Havertz’s hattrick. The Blues are wanting to keep momentum and it will be tough for Barnsley to defeat a team that is now very cohesive and tuning as per the manager’s strategies.

TEAM NEWS
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will not have his star and experienced defender, Thiago Silva as he left the game in half time due to an injury suffered. The availability of Kai Havertz, Pulisic and Timo Werner is still in doubt as they haven’t recovered fully and 100% fit.
On the other hand, Barnsley will not have left-back Ben Williams, defender Kitching and their centre-back Aapo Halme. Except for these three, Barnsley has no injury or suspension issues as they will welcome the Blues to challenge on their home ground.
