Barcelona are reportedly set to intensify their pursuit of Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta after completing the deal to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla.
The Camp Nou outfit pipped Thomas Tuchel’s side to the signing of the Sevilla centre-back in dramatic fashion despite Chelsea agreeing upon a transfer fee with the club only for Barcelona to hijack the approach in the later stages.

According to the Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona could add salt to Chelsea’s wounds by stepping up their approach for the Blues skipper and defensive mainstay Cesar Azpilicueta who is a top name on the boss Xavi’s wishlist.
Azpilicueta is keen to make his ‘dream move’ to Camp Nou this summer but his attempts to head out the exit door at Stamford Bridge have hit a stumbling block with Thomas Tuchel in no mood to consider yet another exit from his squad.
The Chelsea head coach has voiced his annoyance over Barcelona’s interest in the 32-year-old Spain international with Tuchel looking to prevent an exodus from his defensive ranks after the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
