Barcelona are reportedly eyeing up a shock move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku with the Catalan outfit looking to bolster their attacking ranks this coming summer.
Lukaku, who made the move to Stamford Bridge last year from Inter Milan, has endured a season of mixed fortunes so far despite Chelsea forking out big money on landing his signature.
With Barca on the hunt for reinforcements in the final third, Lukaku could emerge as a name on the club’s shopping list for the summer transfer window, according to a report from the Spanish news outlet AS.
Thomas Tuchel is unlikely to be impressed by Lukaku’s attacking output of 11 goals in 32 outings since his return to west London and could be convinced to cash in on the Belgium international should the Barca camp make an approach.
The likes of Liverpool’s wantaway star Mohamed Salah and Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland are understood to be priority targets for Xavi Hernandez at Camp Nou heading into the start of the new campaign.
