Barcelona and Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping tabs on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku who wants a move away from the Premier League this summer.
The Belgium international endured a dismal first season back in England’s top flight after his big-money return to Stamford Bridge last year from the then Serie A champions Inter Milan.
With rumours doing the rounds that Chelsea could be interested in cashing in on the 28-year-old striker this summer, Inter Milan emerged as the favourites for his signature but the deal looks unlikely owing to difficulties on the pricing front.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo ( via Metro), European heavyweight clubs Barcelona and Bayern Munich, both in search of attacking reinforcements in the transfer window, are keen on Lukaku’s services.
Barca have long prioritised a move for Bayern dangerman Robert Lewandowski but are ready to shortlist the Chelsea forward Lukaku as a back-up option with Bayern too scouting the market for an alternative to top target Sadio Mane whose Liverpool future hangs in the balance.
