Atalanta to hold meeting with Chelsea for Tammy Abraham deal

Chelsea are in line to ship out Tammy Abraham this summer with the player’s new suitors in the market Atalanta in line to hold talks with Thomas Tuchel’s camp in the next 48 hours.

Reports from Fabrizio Romano claim that the Italian outfit will be touching base with the Blues to ask for Abraham as their main target in the ongoing transfer window and swiftly land his signature ahead of the other clubs in the mix.

Abraham had been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge ahead of the start of the new season with the England international no longer a first-team regular for Chelsea since Thomas Tuchel took charge earlier this year.

Atalanta had emerged the frontrunners to sign the 23-year-old forward with the Serie A club set to lose their star striker Duvan Zapata to Inter Milan who themselves are poised to part ways with Romelu Lukaku very shortly.

Lukaku’s move away from San Siro will see him join his long-term suitors and former club Chelsea who had sought to re-sign the Belgium international in this summer transfer window.
